ABOUT US:

At Sportradar, we have enjoyed a remarkable period of sustained hypergrowth, driven by a highly focused strategy based on industry-leading product innovation. To continue on this trajectory, we are searching for a Programme Manager to join the Managed Betting Services team.

The Programme Manager is responsible for implementing best practices in programme and project management to enable the successful delivery of the right initiatives at the right time, meeting requirements and staying on budget. A key focus will be on coordinating complex projects across teams and functional groups while keeping key stakeholders fully informed on project status, including resolving impediments and managing risks.

Sportradar is a global company. The role is hybrid office-based, with overseas travel required as necessary to ensure effective project and resource management.


THE CHALLENGE:

  • Project Management & Governance:

    • Ensure the successful implementation of project management strategies, responsibilities, services, and deliverables within an Agile delivery context.
    • Help shape and evolve processes and principles to improve the consistency and effectiveness of project execution, enhancing predictability and visibility.
    • Define and embed project control and governance frameworks, including:
      • Project planning, milestone management, and scope management.
      • Resource forecasting and implementation of consistent prioritisation processes across projects.
  • Coordination & Reporting:

    • Ensure cross-project dependencies are managed effectively.
    • Maintain transparent and regular reporting to key stakeholders to ensure project status is clearly understood and that timely decisions can be made.
    • Develop concise reporting frameworks and dashboards to support this.
  • Financial & Risk Management:

    • Ensure the appropriate benefits of key projects are identified and quantified where possible.
    • Compile financial and KPI information to keep initiatives on budget.
    • Provide and maintain capacity planning and resource tracking services across projects.
    • Maintain and update a Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Coordinate key delivery closure retrospectives to distil best practices and ensure lessons learnt are documented.
    • Ensure efficient change control methods and processes are in place.


ABOUT YOU:

Desired Professional Background:

  • Previous experience in project management within a high-growth digital company.
  • Proven track record in planning, executing, controlling, and closing a diverse range of projects (e.g., small, large, and complex), with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in leading, managing, and developing a team of squads.
  • Experience with project management in an Agile context (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PRINCE2 methodologies or equivalent) for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining project plans, delivery dashboards, and roadmaps, including managing risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Flight Level coordination experience highly desirable.

  • Highly proficient in IT, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
