BAE Systems Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) business area is seeking a Manager I in the Tactical Aircraft (TACAIR) product line. This Manager will lead our Program Quality Engineers on Sustainment programs for TACAIR. Oversight shall include, but not limited to, ensuring customer contract requirements are met, quality assurance, continuous process improvement, and lifecycle management. The role will be involved in documenting Sustainment Processes for both Integrated Contractor Support and Customer Depots, writing Basis of Estimate and supporting proposals for future efforts, as well as the day to functional leadership of the Program Quality Engineers for Sustainment and/or Non-recurring Engineering Programs. The individual will work closely with the Customer, Program Management offices & Supplier Quality Teams along with other critical functions to provide world class program execution. Additionally, support corrective actions using quality science tools via 8D methodology.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of an in person work format, with travel to other locations as required.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience
  • Self-starting problem solver with a fact based focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong and Demonstrated Communication Skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communicating within a group/team
  • Enjoys working with and coaching Quality professionals and other cross-functional team members to continuously improve execution success
  • Understanding the process for Basis of Estimate and proposals
  • Understanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing)
  • Sustainment Experience with supporting Life Cycle Support programs


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
  • Management experience
  • Defense industry standards (AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145)
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
