The Health and Civil Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Program Scheduler II. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Transportation Solutions mission. This role is also in a unique position in that it reports through the Sector Scheduling Manager within the larger enterprise-wide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE).
The Leidos Corporate EVM COE is a team leading and executing the core responsibilities of scheduling, planning, EVMS, the associated infrastructure and tools, implementations, training and surveillance for Leidos. In this role, you will be a key player in all aspects of scheduling and EVMS implementations, program support, training, tools, and surveillance functions from proposal, to preparation for award, to start-up through IBRs and continuing through the execution lifecycle. The scheduler will be responsible for assisting in applying scheduling theory to develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related documents in support of program execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with program leads to implement program scheduling business rhythms, develop baseline schedules and associated artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements, and monitor, analyze, and report performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.
- Apply scheduling theory to develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related artifacts in compliance with applicable standards and policies such as EVM standard EIA-748 and best practices (e.g., PASEG) in alignment with the mission of the EVM COE and in support of programs.
- Implement program scheduling business rhythms,
- Develop baseline schedules and associated artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements,
- Monitor, analyze, and report performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.
- Implement practices to align the time phasing and plans for resources with the IMS to provide an integrated technical, schedule, and resource / cost baseline and forecast/ ETC for programs.
- Serve as a scheduling subject matter expert in assisting programs with issue identification/resolution.
- Provide scheduling support to programs for internal and external audits and reviews and application of resulting corrective actions.
Required Qualifications.
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of program scheduling experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.
- Strong communication skills and has basic understanding of MS Project, MS Excel /MS Office, or other similar desktop tools.
- Strong understanding of Earned Value Management and cost/schedule integration.
- Must possess Basic knowledge of project planning practices
- Must be detail oriented and a team player
- Must possess an understanding of scheduling theory including experience with:
- schedule status processes
- schedule health assessment (e.g., 14-Point Analysis)
- resource loading/management
- cost and schedule integration
- baseline change control processes
- project risk and opportunity integration
- schedule execution metrics (BEI, CEI, CPLI, SV, SPI etc.)
- Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)/Monte Carlo Analysis and tools
- Critical Path Method (CPM) and Margin/Float management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced data analytics skill set including Power BI, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables a plus
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of Deltek COBRA cost reporting and baseline management.
Please note that this is a relatively junior role and the actual salary for this role is closer to the middle of the posted pay range.
