SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
PROGRAM MASTER SCHEDULER (ADVANCED COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT)
Have a knack for enabling timely results in complex situations? Want to have a unique vantage point across multiple SpaceX product lines?
SpaceX’s mission management team is looking for a dedicated individual to develop, maintain, and communicate our highly dynamic development schedules. Primary responsibility will be on new development programs and mission where you will closely partner with program leadership and engineering teams to capture and track our progress for NASA.
Our missions and contracts require proactive schedule coordination of non-recurring engineering development projects, certification activities, hardware delivery, launch pad preparation, launch vehicle assembly, and construction status. As the program master scheduler, you will be at the nexus of all these activities and will work to construct, maintain, and communicate multiple resource-loaded plans in parallel. SpaceX schedules are highly dynamic and evolve along with engineering development requiring you to be flexible with changing constraints. You will develop schedule narratives and risk analysis to identify and communicate schedule risks. You’ll be empowered to identify gaps in our engineering plans, implement scheduling process improvements, and drive consistency across our proposals and mission schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and develop the program master schedule for the NASA program
- Coordinate, maintain, communicate, and present the critical path schedules and schedule narratives
- Understand existing and future projects, assemblies, sequences, and constraints to actively de-conflict issues with several teams across multiple sites
- Devise, maintain, and improve scheduling tools and processes that identify, analyze, and brief potential constraints on a weekly and daily basis
- Evaluate our engineering, production, and launch site operations in enough depth such that you can critically offer process improvements
- Work with SpaceX managers, supervisors and leads to ensure that your schedule reflects reality, and that projects and key deliverables will be completed on time
- Facilitate and drive weekly schedule reviews with responsible engineers, ensuring up to date and accurate plans
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or 5+ years of professional work in the aerospace industry
- 3+ years of professional experience as a scheduler or a scheduler manager in a technical organization

What We Do
SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches the world’s most advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk to revolutionize space transportation, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary.
SpaceX has gained worldwide attention for a series of historic milestones. It is the only private company ever to return a spacecraft from low-Earth orbit, which it first accomplished in December 2010. The company made history again in May 2012 when its Dragon spacecraft attached to the International Space Station, exchanged cargo payloads, and returned safely to Earth — a technically challenging feat previously accomplished only by governments. Since then Dragon has delivered cargo to and from the space station multiple times, providing regular cargo resupply missions for NASA.
