This position reports to Operations Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities: 

Safety:

  • Promote an onsite culture of safety with the TEI team.
  • Administer and lead at TEI safety programs onsite including STOP audits, report incidents, and HASP at your site.
  • Train employees on stop work authority and safety practices, maintain and update safety documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and client-specific safety procedures and participate in incident reviews as necessary.

Onsite Operations and Compliance: 

  • Oversee and manage the execution of the scope or work
  • Ensure TEI program compliance with RCRA and DOT regulations including CAA compliance, manifest management, training records, DOT record keeping
  • Ensure TEI team is meeting daily expectations of the customer and fulfilling the scope of work including but not limited to waste pickups, profiling and shipping waste within regulatory or space timelines, providing WOW level experience to customer end users
  • Serve as the technical onsite lead for TEI. Provide daily oversight and quality control for TEI operations 
  • Ensure accurate waste profiling and documentation, and identify improvements in compliance and sustainability practices.
  • Prepare and present on account specific KPIs to manager, director, and VP level staff members at TEI and at the customer.
  • Develop necessary plans based on generator status
  • Partner with site to develop waste minimization plan
  • Manage local rad focused business
  • Help administer above site rad waste collection program
  • Help develop and report on sustainability activities
  • Develop site related SOPs
  • Create future WIPs as well as waste storage and handling procedures
  • provide input on waste building layout design
  • Provide onsite regulatory trainning
  • Oversee multiple E-tech between multiple sites
  • Help develop TEI overarching growth strategy for Indianapolis, IN
  • Coordinate outbound waste activities
  • Lead client status meetings

Onsite Project Work: 

  • Oversee various projects such as lab cleanouts, decommissioning, and waste management, from scope definition to job completion.
  • Serve as the primary contact for project coordination, manage ticketing systems, and address site-specific operational needs.

Profitability:

  • Monitor and adjust target hours and billing to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and approve contract employee timesheets and ensure correct billing as needed.
  • Drive customer service initiatives, participate in cost reviews, and develop and track KPIs for performance and profitability.

Contract Specific Requirements:

  • Additional contract specific requirements maybe required depending on the client and SOW.

Basic Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years experience supporting or managing a large RCRA waste program or completion of the TEI ES advancement program
  • Experience with DOT, RCRA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Wasteland and ADVISE software.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, PPT and Excel
  • Willingness to obtain RSO (40hr) training cert
  • Willingness to become forklift operator certified Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation 
  • Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC) 
  • Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment 
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis 
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis 
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday) 
  • Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts 
  • This role frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive. 

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Background in project management.
  • 2-4 years in the environmental services/hazardous waste industry.

Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
