Dark Wolf Solutions has an opportunity for a Program Management Office Analyst to join our team. The PMO Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the efficient and effective delivery of projects across the organization. This role is responsible for assisting in the establishment, maintenance, and improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and processes. The PMO Analyst provides essential support to Project Managers and project teams by gathering and analyzing project data, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to PMO standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. This role will report to our Herndon, VA office about three times per week. Typical responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a waterfall view of project Period of Performance dates to ensure projects option periods are exercised on time.
- Reviewing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and risk registers against CMMI and ISO standards to ensure projects remain compliant with requirements.
- Monitoring project progress against planned timelines and budgets, identifying and escalating potential issues.
- Maintaining and updating project databases, repositories, and reporting dashboards.
- Assisting in the coordination of project resources and activities across PAs, as needed.
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of project management methodologies, tools, and templates.
- Ensuring project adherence to PMO standards and best practices.
- Assisting in identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations.
- Contributing to the training and onboarding of project teams on PMO processes and tools.
- Owning the Program Management Roundtable meetings, developing the monthly topics, coordinating with presenters, and facilitating the meeting.
- Staying up-to-date on industry best practices in project management.
- Build-out and maintain the PMO Google Site.
- Scheduling and facilitating Internal Program Reviews for all qualifying projects across each Practice Area.
- Supporting Project and Program Managers with Internal Program Review template and guidelines to ensure understanding and readiness.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of project performance metrics and KPIs.
Required Qualifications:
- A BA/BS degree in a technical or managerial field
- 1-2 years of experience in a PMO, project analyst, or project coordinator (support) role
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Experience with project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Proactive ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Google Looker Studio preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial principles related to project management
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Must be a US Citizen and clearable up to the Secret Level
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with Agile software development teams
- Possess a Project Management Professional Certification
- Previous experience working in a software factory
This role is located 3 days per week out of the Dark Wolf Solutions Herndon, VA office. The estimated salary for this position is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00, commensurate on experience.
