What You'll do:

• Provide support in the execution of OAR's responsibilities to the NOAA Observing System Council (NOSC) and the NOSC Observing System Committee (OSC)
• Support and assist with the development, review, and implementation of NOAA and OAR observation requirements and observing systems related plans, policies, guidelines, and directives.
• Coordinate and collaborate with laboratory and program staff for the development, review, and implementations of observation requirements and observation systems related publications, plans, policies, guidelines, metrics, and directives.
• Prepare briefing materials, track progress toward meeting program objectives, and draft reports.
• Provide support for relevant observing system related meetings and conferences.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other individuals/contractors supporting data management as necessary.
• Be available for and technically capable of participating in regularly scheduled committee meetings.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited University
• 6 or more years of experience in the field or a related area

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$67,927.00 - $123,678.00
