Job Description

The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the seamless flow of products throughout the complete production cycle. This role ensures the timely execution of manufacturing work orders to meet internal financial objectives and deliver exceptional results aligned with customer delivery timelines. Effective communication is central to this role, requiring collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to provide clear updates, resolve issues, and align production schedules with organizational and customer expectations.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Review & Planning:
o Analyze open sales orders to determine customer requirements and priorities.
o Utilize ERP/MRP systems to auto-generate and release manufacturing work orders.
2. Material Coordination:
o Coordinate the timely delivery of parts to expedite material flow and meet production schedules.
o Collaborate with the warehouse and purchasing teams to address and resolve material shortages.
3. Supplier Management:
o Support the purchasing team by expediting supplier purchase orders as needed.
o Maintain clear communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of critical components.
4. Production Oversight:
o Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking.
o Monitor, coordinate, and expedite manufacturing builds to ensure production schedules are met.
5. Shipping Coordination:
o Organize and support the shipping department in the preparation, packaging, and timely shipment of finished goods.
6. Communication & Reporting:
o Proactively inform the sales, customer service, and leadership of any schedule changes or potential impacts on customer delivery dates.
o Generate and maintain status reports, including production progress, customer information, and materials inventory.
7. Judgment & Problem-Solving:
o Exercise sound judgment within established procedures to identify and implement effective solutions.
o Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production challenges and ensure alignment with company goals.
8. Additional Duties:
o Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support production and organizational success.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Technical Expertise:
o Strong knowledge of production and processing, including raw materials, manufacturing processes, quality control, cost optimization, and distribution techniques.
• ERP/MRP Systems:
o Proficiency in ERP or MRP software is highly preferred.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
o Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving & Initiative:
o Ability to exercise sound judgment and take appropriate actions to ensure production goals are met.
• Technical Proficiency:
o Competency in using computer systems and software applications for scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
