Role Overview
As a Product Trainer, you will be responsible for the execution of the training strategy for our retail stores. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver transformational learning experiences related to any of our current and future products. Note that this position requires visiting our retail stores to work closely with our retail shop staff on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic product training programs to support our retail stores
- Observe how shop staff interact with clients to identify areas of improvement
- Determine training needs both for individuals and teams
- Managing logistics, schedules and resources for training events, ensuring they align with the strategic objectives
- Apply various retail training techniques (e.g. gamification, case studies and group activities)
- Facilitating feedback collection from training sessions, analysing data, and relaying insights to Training Manager and cross-functional stakeholders for ongoing program enhancement
- Maintain updated records of training curriculum and material
Qualifications
- Work experience as a Retail Trainer, Sales Trainer, or similar role
- High interest in technical outdoor product
- Experience in a retail leadership role
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Language: Japanese (fluent), English (business level)
- Experience in Sporting/Outdoor Goods is a plus
