Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Product Stewardship Manager, the Product Stewardship Specialist will be responsible for supporting product stewardship efforts to ensure APM products comply with applicable Chemical control laws and regulations in the markets we operate in. This position will work across Ascend businesses to gather data and information to support compliance and registration activities while collaborating with supply chain, technology, and commercial departments for Ascend Performance Materials.

Supporting internal process improvements and integration
Responsibilities
-
Build and manage internal raw material / chemical databases to ensure compliance with internal requirements and applicable global regulations

Assisting other team members with data gathering and filing for supporting regulatory compliance for worldwide Ascend Performance Materials commercial and R&D products

Tracking Emerging regulations and working with other team members to ensure compliance

Authoring Safety Data sheets and assisting with maintenance and management of the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management software to keep SDS and labels up to date

Assisting with IMDS (automotive) entries

Assisting with product stewardship letters to our customers

Supporting with transportation reviews
Required Experience
-
BS or higher in Chemistry, toxicology, or related sciences

Knowledge of Excel, PPT and similar applications
Preferred experience
-
0-5 years’ of Product Stewardship experience (SDS, transportation, Chemical regulations, TSCA, REACH etc.) in the chemical industry

Experience with SAP
