Your Role and Impact:
As a Product Owner, you will:
- Strategize and Prioritize:  Take ownership of the team’s backlog, aligning it with business objectives and maximizing value. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and user stories that align with strategic goals.
- Lead Agile Delivery Practices: Act as the primary communicator and facilitator between stakeholders, end users, and delivery teams. Drive iteration planning, backlog refinement, and story acceptance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Deliver Results: Lead discussions on dependencies, risks, and quality control measures. Leverage advanced business knowledge and critical thinking to anticipate challenges and address them proactively.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with diverse teams - from Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Operations and Claims - to understand challenges and opportunities. Drive consistent delivery of program milestones by connecting stakeholders’ vision with actionable development plans.
- Innovate: Introduce new tools and practices to optimize delivery and improve team processes. Contribute fresh ideas that solve business problems and enhance user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define sprint goals and manage team backlog items with a focus on delivering business value.
- Lead elicitation of requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops to ensure alignment on goals and vision.
- Regularly refine program backlogs, ensuring features are ready for upcoming sprints.
- Participate in planning, contributing to story definition, estimates, and sequencing.
- Lead system demos and workshops to drive continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of processes from start to finish, ensuring that the team delivers expected outcomes that align with stakeholder expectations.
What You Bring:
- 4-6 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Project Manager in an Agile environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to constructively challenge, question, and actively listen.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within fast-paced, agile teams.
- Commercial insurance acumen to generate innovative solutions and guide stakeholders through impactful change.
- Familiarity with Duck Creek policy admin system is a plus.
