The Product Owner is responsible for functionally architecting Cepheid’s software products Here you'll learn how DBS is used to shape strategy, focus execution, align our people, and bring value for customers and shareholders

This position is part of the Cepheid’s India Development Center (IDC) and will be located in Bangalore. IDC is Danaher’s India Development Center, hosted by Beckman Coulter. Beckman Coulter is our fellow operating company at Danaher. At IDC, we have more than 11 operating companies of Danaher hosting their R&D teams. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Build, shape and define functionality of software products
• Write clear, and detailed functional specifications, (technical) user epics and stories with user acceptance criteria. Participate in story grooming exercises for streamlined and unambiguous documentation and communication of features to be developed.
• Understand product strategy and assess feature development requirements, prioritize stories, epics and themes to align and focus the agile scrum teams for maximum value creation.
• Follow through execution of epics/stories with the scrum teams. Provide strong participation in Show & tells giving unambiguous feedback to aid effective decision making on course corrections
• Communicate and collaboration effectively with customers, product management, QA, documentation, training, deployment, support and other departments to ensure timely product releases

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Engineering degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 8+ years of relevant work experience as Software Product Owner/business analyst within the regulated environment of in vitro diagnostics or medical devices
• Experience using SDLC (software development lifecycle) practices and frameworks and backlog management tools (e.g. JIRA/Confluence/etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
• Prior experience of working in a globally distributed team in different time zones with excellent communication skills
