Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Owner to work within our Collections & Tracing domain
This is a hybrid role requiring travelling to Hyderabad office on occasions as and when required.
Background:
This is an incredibly exciting time for the Experian UKI Region, as we look to build our presence in the UK and Hyderabad and work on a technology transformation to meet our aspiration to significantly scale our business over the next five years. This an opportunity to join Credit & Verification Services on this journey and be part of a collaborative team that uses Agile DevSecOps principles to deliver business value.
Credit and Verification Services currently comprises nearly 100 engineering teams who deliver over 200 products achieving significant revenue per annum for our UK Business. The Domian:
As a member of the Collections & Tracing domain, you will be an integral part of the product and engineering team working on the development of new and redevelopment of existing online products that deliver amazing user experiences for a wide range of clients across several sectors. The domain is home to market leading products and capability that currently generate in the region of $12m annual revenue, with an ambition to double in the next 5 years. We also power the largest UK baed Debt Collectiion Agencies and provide several batch data products to support core business strategies built on top of Experian’s Credit Reference data, These solutions provide clients with the opportunity to Trace consumers, reunite with them with lost assets, and help clients to recover arrears from their portfolio.
Online products (API and screens) are central to the forward looking architectural strategy, leveraging cloud where possible coupled with the latest best practice principles of design to optimise customer experiences,
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the agile team to develop quality solutions that deliver the business value
- Collaborating effectively to support and enhance the full product lifecycle, working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders such as GSO, GSA, CIAM and Service & Billing
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to create Epics and break them down into User Stories for engineering teams, leading to incremental value release to product with target Cycle times
- Agree the Definition of Done, drive quality acceptance criteria and ensure the team meets both on completed epics/stories
- Leading refinement and pointing sessions
- Backlog prioritisation, refinement and management
- Lead/actively participate in agile ceremonies including big room planning, sprint planning, sprint review etc

Qualifications
Experience/Skills:
- Experience of the full development lifecycle and Agile ceremonies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
- The ability to work with teams from different cultures and background
- The ability to write clear Epics / User Stories with appropriate acceptance criteria, managing clear, up to date and effective roadmap control through AHA
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to analyse problems and requirements
Required Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- 5+ years working as a Product Owner or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Aha
- Stakeholder Management
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent Epic and story writing experience and documentation skills
- Good understanding of application security principles in web applications
Useful skills:
- Good understanding of various development languages and the ability to understand code
