We are a digital home loan business backed by CommBank that embraces the start-up hustle culture. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager Owner (Origination), you will be a powerhouse supporting the end-to-end home loan origination experience from the moment customer submits their application, all the way until their loan is settled.   

What your day will look like 

  • Triaging change and new feature requests across the entirety of the business – that includes: lending team, settlement specialist team, customer operations team, risk team, other product teams, leadership team. 

  • Documenting the latest requirements in clarity including context of why we’re proposing the changes, and what work needs to be completed by an engineer. 

  • Investigating and determining the best method of solving problems by being toe to toe with engineers and designers. 

  • Working closely with the Senior Product Owner in understanding the strategic objectives and pillars of the business, and coordinating projects in meeting those goals 

  • Assessing data capabilities and insights of the business to identify gaps and looking for opportunities to bridge those gaps 

  • Keeping close tab on our latest operational metrics and workflows to look for opportunities to improve them 

  • Working closely with stakeholders on preparing release documents and change management artefacts across teams 

  • Learning and adapting to new functionalities that Dynamics 365/Power Platform has delivered, and navigating the business to adopt these new functionalities effectively into automating more of our workflows and operational rhythm 

Soft skills we’re looking for: 

  • Deep interest in CRM systems: An attentive and hands-on person who is willing to get their hands dirty gathering and delivering requirements for many disciplines of stakeholders (e.g. lending team, settlement team, customer success team, risk and compliance team, other product teams who need to leverage the CRM etc) 

  • Obsession in automation and productivity: A practical and driven person who can identify opportunities of efficiency and productivity which can be translated into delivering automated processes for customer-facing teams. 

  • Curiosity: A genuinely curious person who is respectful about everyone's superpowers and will be able to navigate through leveraging these talents at every facet of stages in the product development and management process. 

  • Extreme ownership: A responsible and committed person who can take full ownership of the product, continuously engaging and making informed decisions with stakeholders to drive the product to the finish line. 

  • Influential and charismatic: A passionate and empathetic person who will bring various teams and individuals along the journey to support the vision and evangelise the ups and downs of a product management “routine” aka chaos. 

  • Discipline and self-motivated: A thoughtful and skillful person who will be able to juggle multiple projects without losing focus, ensuring that each delivery is meaningful to our end users, and are delivered with a clear understanding of their priority and urgency. 

  • Appreciation in delivering great products and great experiences: A self-motivated person who truly understands and respects the fundamental product design and development concepts, processes, articulating the importance of each phase and using it to their advantage, to see features and products adopted through.  

Hard skills we’re looking for: 

  • Must have delivered successful solutions relating to CRMs involving a variety of stakeholder groups. 

  • Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with members of delivery teams, stakeholders, particularly customer-facing teams, championing for their success. 

  • Can effectively split time between strategic thinking across multitude of product streams whilst working toe to toe with engineers in executing the work. 

  • Have expertise in delivering great solutions in a start-up product environment and are excited to push the envelope for innovation. 

  • Have experience in digital-first businesses, where automation and simple processes are core pillars in planning and delivery activity. 

  • Have excellent verbal, written communication and collaboration skills and will be able to deliver succinct communication and training to our operations staff where needed. 

  • Can deliver great things on time so that we can add tangible value to people who need our solution. 

  • Understands the fundamentals of product thinking – shaping the product vision, strategy and breakdown of those things into deliverables alongside the Senior Product Owner. 

 
Nice to haves: 

  • Experience working directly on features relating to Microsoft Dynamics 365 

  • Experience implementing integrations with third-party applications and services 

  • Experience generating training documentations, and influencing stakeholders for facilitation and enablement
