Job Description:
Job purpose - Accountable for delivering value for the product and managing program to planned outcomes
Job Responsibilities
- Drive product vision and strategy by leading a team to work with stakeholders to ensure the mandate of the product vision and goals are met
- Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate vision effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the organization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure vision and products align within business and technology strategy and requirements
- Work closely with portfolio heads to establish each product’s business value, and support messaging, communication and customer outreach as necessary
- Create and maintain product roadmap as a guide and a reference for execution in realizing the vision
- Prioritize scope based on business value and manage backlog items and maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
- Lead market analysis and benchmarking on key business areas to understand gap compared to competition on business focus areas
- Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into key outcomes.
- Determine end-to-end team delivery strategy from inception to production
- Facilitate release planning with stakeholders as well as weekly demos
- Own the user stories and acceptance criteria for the product
- Oversee and manage product development, lead squads and teams to successfully deliver against the product vision
- Assess product value delivered in each increment
- Be accountable for product specific OKRs and communicate progress to stakeholders
Qualifications
- University Graduate and above.
- At least 15 years of experience in Insurance Industry or Financial Institutions, candidates who have led teams as Business, Functional and Digital SMEs are preferred
- Certification as agile Product Owner preferred
- Sound knowledge of insurance products, channels, customer behaviors and technology
- Fluent in and English & Chinese
Job Requirements
- Deep experience in client digital journey and/or advisor digital journey would be required
- Strong experience in Product Development, Management and Lifecycle
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, large strategic/ complex programs in a position of authority is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills for large, complex and broad business issues
- Experience in DevOps and Agile Toolset (JIRA, Confluence) would be an asset
- Ability to resolve ambiguity in conflicting needs from multiple stakeholders while working within the constraints of a complex technical and operational environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and inter-personnel skills
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with stakeholders
