Intro and job overview:
Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, part-time opportunity for undergraduate students actively enrolled in university. This is an 10-week program that begins June 9th and concludes August 15th. This opportunity is 100% remote and you must be located in the United States during the summer internship. The Product Marketing Intern will work closely with the Product Marketing team.
As the Product Marketing Intern, you will have a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the alignment of our content strategy with key personas, such as Chief Data Officers, IT leaders, data engineers, and application developers, across the lead lifecycle. You will gain real-world experience in content analysis, persona alignment, and gap identification to help our product marketing team enhance customer engagement, starting at the top funnel and progressing throughout their journey
Responsibilities and duties:
- Create a detailed inventory of existing product marketing content, classifying each asset by target persona, product segment alignment, and funnel stage.
- Analyze how well current content aligns with persona needs, pain points, and different stages of the customer journey, identifying areas for improvement.
- Summarize key insights in a final presentation, offering data-driven recommendations for optimizing content alignment with personas and buyer journey phases.
- Develop guidelines or a structured methodology to ensure ongoing content evaluations align with marketing goals and customer needs.
- Assist in repurposing existing content, suggesting enhancements, or identifying new content opportunities to strengthen customer engagement.
- Work closely with product marketing, content strategy, and demand generation teams to implement recommendations and improve content effectiveness.
- Compile findings into structured reports and dashboards to track content performance, engagement, and effectiveness across different personas and funnel stages.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Precisely's internship program is for rising junior and senior undergraduate students set to graduate after August 2025.
- Ability to audit and categorize marketing content based on target personas and customer journey stages.
- Strong data analysis capabilities to identify content gaps, optimize marketing assets, and align content strategy with business goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations at an executive level.
- Ability to assess content effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose actionable recommendations.
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for content reporting and presentations.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, SEO tools, and Tableau for content tracking and optimization is a plus.
- Knowledge of content marketing principles, engagement strategies, and funnel-based content targeting in B2B environments is a plus
