About the team and role:
eBay is seeking a talented and dynamic product marketer to drive inbound product marketing and outbound go to market strategy for new platform features. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of the eBay marketing team redefining how we bring eBay’s products to market. This role will be critical in establishing an important company-wide function, skill and capability. To be successful, you should be an experienced product marketer in e-commerce or two-sided tech networks.
Influence product and marketing strategy by building audience segmentations and synthesize market, customer and competitive insights to opportunity size by segment.
What you will accomplish:

Build a partnership with product and marketing data analysts to consult with you on establishing end to end segmentation and KPI tracking for product marketing.

Analyze (large) sets of customer data from our ecommerce platform and other sources in order to identify key insights and trends that can inform our product strategy, go-to-market optimizations, and decision-making.

Partner with the enterprise technology teams to build a product marketing voice of customer Ai tool to rapidly diagnose and optimize our product and marketing to better serve our customers, buyers and sellers.

Systematize the process of product issue triaging with closing the loop with Account Managers and customers on resolutions.

Collaborate with consumer insights and product research partners, set up a transparent two-way cadence of building joint learning plans and insight sharing.

Maintain and improve customer feedback loops through phone calls, social media listening, surveys, natural language processing, or face-to-face meetings with customers during the product and marketing development process.

Track internal product market fit tracking metrics; synthesize customer feedback to provide signal amidst the noise across the product life cycle: development, launch, and optimization / expansion.

Establish repeatable best practices that can scale across product marketing, enabling all product marketers to work in a fast-paced environment, using qualitative and quantitative market and customer insights to grow the impact of product marketing.

Scale how you and the entire product marketing organization stays up-to-date with market trends, technologies, and competitor activity to inform product strategy and marketing initiatives across e-commerce, categories, advertising, and financial services.

Define key product marketing skills and capabilities for the function; partner with talent development to develop product marketing career pathways.

Project manage your work, set key deliverables and milestones for your team, and measure key metrics for success.

Inspire your team; develop and grow the impact of your direct reports.
What you will bring:

10+ years of experience in product marketing
-
Strong track record of developing product and go to market strategies at e-commerce shopping, advertising, payments and/or financial services companies

Proven ability to drive innovation, execute projects with excellence, building new organizations
-
Success working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and excellent communication skills
-
Strong data analysis skills and experience with customer research techniques

Experience launching new products / services and growing in market adoption to be successful

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$158,800 - $239,800
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
