Pay Range
$107,300.00-$147,500.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
The OEM Product Manager has P&L responsibility for multiple JM OEM product lines. This position involves achieving current annual goals and developing a multi-year strategy for growth and profitability. High-level goals include profitable growth for product line(s), disciplined planning and execution of long-term product roadmaps, development of timely marketing campaigns, detailed financial analysis to improve manufacturing and purchase costs, and development of new market opportunities. This position will interface with customers, Customer Service, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D, Operations, Legal, Product Stewardship, and Channel Sales.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
PRODUCT LINE MANAGEMENT: Use of lifecycle management tools to evaluate and systematically rebalance portfolio through identification of cost, SKU reduction opportunities, new product requirements and profitability optimization. Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and presentations to business leadership on product lines and projects. Analyze monthly income statement to develop profit-improvement initiatives.
PRICING: Work with Channel Sales to set target contribution margins and price bands used in quoting processes and price change decisions. Collect and use competitive data to set pricing strategies. Identify and take action to address price leakage.
SUPPLY CHAIN: Work with Sales, Operations and Supply Chain to establish the proper SIOP balance between sale metrics and inventory targets. Provide 3–60-month forecasts, and review and modify 0-12 month sales forecasts to achieve business goals. Coordinate and drive alignment among functions to meet customer needs during normal and peak demand.
MARKETING: Develop and support value propositions for products and systems and educate sales and customer service teams on options and customer value. Initiate promotion and branding initiatives to drive sales growth. Coordinate all aspects of sales support for the given product line including development of selling tools and strategies to meet objectives for product line and market segment profitability. Responsible for updating and maintaining all product technical data sheets, product labels, and marketing literature.
SPECIFICATIONS: Work with Product Engineering to ensure all finished product specifications and purchasing specifications are updated and maintained. Work with Product Engineering and Operations to ensure all manufacturing specifications are updated and maintained. Work with technical and legal resources to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as requisite specifications and industry codes (UL, ASTM, etc.) Work with legal and operations on issues such as supply contracts, trademarks, and patents, and ensure product labels comply with government regulations and corporate policies.
PRODUCT COSTS: Develop cost-take-out initiatives with Product Engineering, R&D, and Operations to provide for profit optimization; align product performance requirements with product cost.
PRODUCT QUALITY: Align customer expectations with quality goals for all products. Ensure compliance with all finished product specifications. Identify and analyze any product quality issues and opportunities. Resolve quality gaps in a timely and responsive manner.
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: Identify product gaps, new product and market opportunities, and drive execution of individual product road maps. Follow Stage-Gate Process to minimize risk of technical and market failure on new product launches. Manage the launch of new JM innovations working closely with customers, manufacturing, supply chain and new product development.
STRATEGIC PLANNING: Develop and execute strategic and operational plans for assigned products to include account needs, trends, growth plans, competitive product analysis, product regulations, market regulatory changes, and competitive intelligence.
CUSTOMERS: Provide technical sales support to customers and Channel Sales team to drive JM specifications with OEM engineers. Participate in customer activities, trade shows, and industry trade association meetings. May have responsibility for one or more direct buy accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical, finance, or marketing role related to the commercial construction or building products industry.
- Experience in a product management environment such has P/L analysis, product launches, forecasting, and specification development.
- Thorough technical knowledge to understand product attributes, manufacturing processes, product technology, and end-product use.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; must be comfortable presenting programs to customers and formal business reviews to senior leadership.
- Proven analytical skills required to collect, structure, analyze data – draw conclusions – develop action plans.
- Candidate must be able to work with all other business functions on a regular basis and lead/influence cross-functional teams.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects will be critical to success.
- Strong project management skills.
- Travel required (40-60%).
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to and including 25 pounds.
- Work environment is typical of an office setting.
- The position is based in Denver, Colorado and requires 3 days of in office work.
