As a Product Manager on the Lower Mass customer segment team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. In this role, you will support go-to-market strategy and execution for the Lower Mass / Underbanked segment. You will leverage your expertise in product strategy, development, and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings.
To deliver on the Consumer Bank's "Bank for All" strategy, we have aligned fully dedicated General Managers to each of our Financial Product segments to address their unique needs and drive competitive differentiation. This role focuses on the Secure Banking product and strategies for underbanked customers, with the goal of increasing household share and earning customer trust through tailored products and experiences. You will support and implement go-to-market strategies to enhance customer acquisition, satisfaction, and retention. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and execution of the commercialization framework, advocating for the needs of our customer segment and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to establish partnerships/gain consensus. In this role, you will build a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors, and develop skills in strategy, problem-solving, analytics, communication, and leadership, supporting the team's end-to-end ownership of business outcomes.
Job responsibilities
- Identify new product opportunities that align with customer needs and market trends through comprehensive customer research and discovery processes.
- Consider and plan for the upstream and downstream implications of new product features and/or tailored solutions on the overall customer experience, ensuring seamless integration and customer satisfaction.
- Drive go-to-market program strategy for the Lower Mass segment, enhancing customer engagement and contributing to market share growth.
- Develop a commercialization framework by understanding market competition and customer needs from qualitative and quantitative research.
- Identify opportunities to enhance field strategies for targeting and servicing the Lower Mass customer segment and Secure Banking product, aiming to grow market share and create a cohesive customer experience (in partnership with One Chase).
- Develop product positioning, branding, and communication plans to acquire new customers and deepen relationships with existing customers across multiple internal and external channels (in partnership with Marketing).
- Influence and collaborate to drive outcomes across various functions, including digital product & design, financial product & enablement, strategy, finance, data & analytics, customer experience, marketing, and field support
- Become a trusted, active, and visible member of the Lower Mass team, representing the Lower Mass customer experience in shared forums.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management, strategy or general business management.
- Strong program management, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to spot gaps/opportunities and perform well in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer-centric mindset; understanding of customer engagement & end-to-end experience.
- Strategic problem-solver, creative thinker, and thought leader who can navigate business and product priorities, customer expectations, and relationships with stakeholders to conceive and articulate products and experiences that inspire our customers.
- Ability to lead multi-stakeholder projects and workstreams end-to-end.
- Proven track record of motivating team and/or partners towards accomplishing a common goal and delivering high-impact initiatives, as well as the ability to influence and collaborate across a highly matrixed organization.
- Energized to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within a larger organization.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data and financial analysis to inform recommendations.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills; experience working and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Banking or Financial Services industry experience preferred.
