Job Description
Role Summary
This role is responsible at a portfolio level and accountable at a product level across strategy and financial performance ownership. Additionally, the role holder is responsible for the complete product lifecycle including market requirements, commercial justification, defining, launching, development roadmaps and customer satisfaction. Accountable for executing the product strategy and proactively leads, champions and drives product/business growth across the portfolio of products including the PCU and product level financial performance. Accountable for existing product development or changes via Innovation, market analysis, customer insight and competitor activity, and oversees the strategic planning process of the organisation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Business and commercial experience gained in a complex, matrix environment.
- Strong awareness of the market space and current drivers in this area.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to managed stakeholders of diverse groups e.g. from board level to call centre agent level.
- Significant experience in managing products and launching new products
- Customer focus and a strong understanding of user experience and user centered design process.
- Understanding and experience of the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop stakeholder buy in and maintain the business roadmap and be accountable for the development and maintenance of the product roadmaps as well as existing products and any changes associated.
- Develop product strategy for products and propositions, ensure it is well documented, accepted and supported.
- Develop and effectively implement 'Go to market' plans, work cross-functionality to ensure successful execution.
- Ensure Internal teams are successfully trained and educated on product positioning, pricing, differentiation and key features.
- Collaborate with prospective data partners to forge new products to remain competitive in Business. Prospective data partners may include government agencies, regulators or even private entities.
- Take reasonable steps to ensure that the business area complies with the relevant requirements and standards of the regulatory system.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a commercial and product management role in a B2B environment; preferably within Credit Reporting industry, FinTech companies, Banks, Financial Service or B2B servicing Banks.
- Prior or current experience in handling digital products
- Comfortable to balance strategic thinking with rolling your sleeves up
- Resilient to thrive in a complex environment
- Experience in managing multiple projects will be added advantage
