Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to work on the team that owns Cohere’s Data Platform. The data platform supports the entire Cohere portfolio including AI and ML processing, business intelligence, analytics, actuarial use and more. It serves as the data lifeline to the organization supporting our products and enabling downstream users. This role will be responsible for driving our data store strategy supporting a plethora of use cases all driven off of analytically ready data for downstream use. This person will collaborate across the business working with product, clinical, technical, actuarial teams and other stakeholders. This role requires you to have a solid understanding of healthcare data, supporting pipelines, cloud architecture and platforms.

What you will do:
- Work with the Data Platform Product Leader, the wider team and key stakeholders to define, deliver and own strategic data stores and ensure data are fit for purpose.
- Define requirements for storing and accessing patient event data.
- Champion and drive best practices for data stewardship and data quality across internal teams and external partners.
- Partner with the technology team to develop and maintain data contracts to ensure schema and integrity across ingestion and processing pipelines feeding the data stores.
- Support the creation and maintenance data dictionaries to standardize definitions and improve usability.
- Partner with upstream product management, data and engineering to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Partner with data governance teams to enforce data lineage, access controls, and compliance.
- Act as a platform evangelist for the use of trusted, well documented datastores sourced within Cohere’s Data Platform.
Your background & requirements:
- Proven experience (3 years) as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role in the healthcare domain, with at least 2 years of experience focused on data platforms, data analytics, or related technologies.
- Deep understanding of data concepts, tools, and technologies (e.g., data warehousing, ETL, reporting, Cloud environments, dashboards, predictive analytics).
- Demonstrated experimentation mindset and data-informed decision-making.
- Proven track record of collaborating with engineering, AI/ML, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into usable assets
- Ability to translate business needs into technical data platform requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a SaaS or technology-driven company.
- Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics techniques.
- Certification in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing Certified).
- Experience with data governance, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., NCQA, HIPAA)

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
