The Opportunity
Product Managers at Workhuman operate at the intersection of strategy and execution to prioritize and deliver high-value product features to help achieve established OKRs. The Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a product or product line. The role will interface at many levels and with various cross-functional teams across the company including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure the product's success in the market.
This opportunity is in the Conversations product area. Conversations is our performance development offering which aims to drive a culture of connection, feedback and growth within the companies that we partner with.

The skills you bring:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to building a long-term vision for the product based on market trends, business goals, and technological advancements.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to stay informed about market trends and understand and apply business knowledge to drive departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability to analyze data, understand metrics, and derive actionable insights. Proficient in problem-solving and making data-driven decisions.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong focus on user experience and customer satisfaction. Skilled in empathizing with users, understanding their needs, and translating those needs into product features.
  • Technical Proficiency: While not necessarily needing to be an expert in coding, having a solid understanding of the technologies and platforms relevant to data products is crucial. This includes familiarity with data analytics tools, databases, and potentially machine learning concepts.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate product roadmap to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Achievements:

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience working as a Product Manager/Owner in an Agile/Scrum product development environment, but relevant projects, achievements, etc., will also be taken into consideration.
  • A track-record of product innovation changing the dynamics of an existing or emerging market.
  • SaaS delivery model experience is a must-have, in either B2B or B2C environments.
  • Can demonstrate how to develop plans by working from high-level strategic direction.
  • Experience in supporting product initiatives that are large scale in terms of target audiences & delivery venues, complexity of problems solved, scope of functionality offered, etc.
  • Expertise in analysing product data and synthesizing product plans based on that data.
  • Must have a strong bias for action i.e. you are pro-active in figuring out what problems to tackle and then execute on solving them
  • Preferred experience building HR products with exposure to Performance development a bonus
