R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem.

We are now looking for

Product Manager, Alarm Phone E2E

to lead the development and management of the elevator alarm phone devices and infrastructure at Hyvinkää Finland.  You may also work in our Espoo-office, if that’s more convenient for you. There’s possibility to work remotely few days a week.
What is our challenge for you?
Elevator alarm phones are safety critical equipment to ensure the passenger safety. The alarm phone End to End environment consist of not only the physical alarm device in the elevator, but also on the connectivity, call routing infrastructure as well as the call handling solutions in the customer service centers. In this role, you will be at global central point in developing the alarm phone devices while also ensuring the reliability and performance of the entire infrastructure and processes, driving their continuous development according to the selected strategy and roadmap.

As a Product Manager for the Alarm Phone E2E, you will

  • Define and drive the alarm phone system level product strategy and roadmap. Ensure alignment between technical architecture and business outcomes. Manage priorities and dependencies between teams and oversee the system-level backlog.

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of the alarm phone E2E system. Ensure operational efficiency by working across teams and define key KPIs for follow-up.

  • Ensure alarm phone devices are competitive and aligned with strategy. Own the lifecycle of selected devices from concept to ramp-down.

  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and other stakeholders to ensure smooth processes. Collaborate with the business side alarm phone owner to improve infrastructure and processes.

  • Use data and analytics to guide decisions. Implement metrics and KPIs on dashboards and ensure stakeholders are up to date.

To succeed in this role, you have
 

  • Strong product management experience and proof in an international environment, working with connected physical devices, cloud software, global infrastructure and processes

  • Solid leadership skills in matrix organization, with proven track record of leading complex systems and products

  • Strong business acumen and capability to quantify customer value and business benefit.

  • Are Data-savvy and KPI-driven, using analysis and tools like PowerBI

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across R&D and business stakeholders

The desired candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated product leadership experience with a proven track record of success stories.

  • Concrete proof with results on leading the R&D development of complex E2E systems, physical products, infrastructure and practices

  • Agile leadership experience in practice.

  • Experience in working in an international multisite environment with high-performing technology business.

  • Proven ability to engage with developers, designers, and company leaders in an inspiring, constructive, and collaborative relationship.

  • Experience on call routing and communication devices and processes is considered as an advantage
