Position Title: Product Line Management Intern 

Location: Mindelo, Portugal

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Line Management Intern to support our efforts in driving innovation and improving our product portfolio. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior Product Line Management (PLM) colleagues and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product management and contribute to process and margin improvements. 

Primary Responsibilities

-Product Line Improvements:

  • Collaborate with senior PLM colleagues to conduct data cleanup and process improvement activities.

  • Assist in identifying and analyzing opportunities in GM (gross margin) and CM (contribution margin) levels to enhance profit margins.

  • Support ongoing product optimizations through detailed SKUs analysis and feedback.

-Project Management:

  • Work alongside - Product Line Management and Marketing - colleagues to manage New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Line Extension (PLE) projects.

  • Ensure compliance with Stage-Gate requirements for effective project delivery.

  • Participate in project planning and execution using standard project management methodologies.

  • Partner with senior PLM colleagues to align on goals, share feedback, and ensure smooth project execution.

  • Work with various departments under the guidance of senior team members to achieve project objectives within the defined scope and timeline.

-Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze data with guidance from senior team members to provide actionable insights for product line improvements.

  • Support the PLM team by running reports and preparing data summaries to facilitate informed decision-making.

-Product Information Management:

  • Assist senior PLM colleagues in maintaining accurate and up-to-date product profiles to ensure effective product management.

  • Coordinate product line feedback and information exchange between functions within the Global Business Unit (GBU).

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Project management skills or experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Familiarity with SAP and MDM systems is desirable but not required.
