We're looking for a passionate Product Development Engineer to drive innovation in fiber optic connectivity, cable assemblies, and cable management products.
In this role, you'll design, enhance, and sustain industry-leading products through CAD design, prototyping, engineering analysis, product testing, and manufacturing implementation. You'll also lead concept ideation, project planning, and competitive analysis, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry. What You Will Do
- Product Design & Development: Design and develop innovative fiber optic connectivity, cable assemblies, and structured cabling products.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research to enhance existing designs and create new solutions.
- Project Management: Lead project planning, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with manufacturing, quality, and product teams to meet specifications.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and analyze engineering drawings, test plans, reports, and manuals.
- Prototyping & Testing: Build prototypes, perform simulations, and conduct testing to validate designs.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve design challenges efficiently.
- Industry & Technology Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends, materials, and technologies to drive innovation.
What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 1 year of engineering experience with exposure to 3D parametric CAD software (NX, SolidWorks). Experience with injection molding or sheet metal part design preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and their role in product design preferred. Familiarity with fiber optic principles and technologies a plus.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively within a large, highly matrixed organization.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Concept Development: Skilled with generating, comparing, and validating concepts.

Compensation: The expected annual base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
