Role Summary

Vacation® is seeking a Product Development Coordinator to help develop the world’s finest sunscreen and more. The Product Development Coordinator will report directly to the Sr. Product Development Manager. They will be responsible for sample management, project coordination, & both internal and external communication. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, eager to learn and grow, and enjoys a fast-paced working environment. This role is “hybrid,” with three days a week onsite (Mid-City LA) with the Product Development team. 

Your Role

  • Manage product development sample organization, document filing system, coordinating incoming & outgoing shipments and recording product approvals 
  • Regularly communicate with vendors to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of pre-production items 
  • Closely assist Sr. Product Development Manager with project management–maintaining timelines, weekly project status recaps, deadline communication to internal & external teams
  • Create detailed bill of materials (BOM) and fill & assembly (F&A) instructions for vendors 
  • Consistently & accurately update master SKU sheet & new product one-pagers
  • Assist in Quality and Regulatory compliance matters as needed
  • Manage overall product development process for branded merchandise, from concept to launch
  • Take accurate and detailed notes during internal and external meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years experience in project management or product development strongly preferred
  • Must be willing to work in-person 2-3 days per week, in Los Angeles (Mid City)
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented in your work
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management tool is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Ability to drop off packages at FedEx/UPS for expedited shipping
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain things clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for product development
