A day in the life:

  • Design for Simplicity: Craft intuitive, accessible, and elegant user experiences that enhance the efficiency of healthcare professionals.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate in design reviews and working sessions to ensure our team delivers the most effective and caring solutions.
  • Manage your workload: Understands your own work capacity and, together with your team, create a activities roadmap.
  • Enhance UX Expertise: Utilize your expanding knowledge of UX, UI designs, and micro-interactions to assist users in completing tasks. Our working tool is Figma.
  • Ensure Platform Consistency: Apply our design system uniformly across all platforms and contribute to its ongoing enhancement.
  • From Insights to Impact: Research and translate complex problems to insights and into practical solutions.
  • Cultivate Partnerships: Develop robust collaborations with teams across expertise: engineering, product management, Quality Assurance and so on

What you bring to the team:

  • College Degree (Professional training, Technical programs) in information architecture, user experience design, interaction design, computer science, human computer interaction, product design or a related area of study .
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional experience in UX/UI design, interaction design, or a related field, contributing to the creation of intuitive and user-centric digital experiences.
  • Demonstrable experience with design and prototyping software (e.g., Figma, XD, Sketch, Framer).
  • Pair and collaborate with other Designers by sharing best practices, ideation techniques, and usability principles.
  • Effectively understand and manage your own work capacity, collaborating with your team to develop a structured activities roadmap.
  • Demonstrated ability to meticulously oversee details in design files and products, effectively inspiring and coaching development teams to deliver highly polished experiences.
  • Promote and practice open communication within a collaborative remote culture.
  • Experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data via software analytics tools.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments and communicate ideas effectively with designers, engineers, and product teams.
  • English mandatory, Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.   

Location, and in-office requirements:

AlayaCare supports a flexible hybrid working model, expecting that our employees have a regular in-office presence at their closest office location while offering flexibility for some remote work. Our team encourages in-person collaboration and with this, the preferred candidate location for this position would be within the Greater Montreal Area.
