About the Role

As a Product Designer at Thoropass, you’ll play a key role in designing the future of our product. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and marketers to transform ideas into actionable designs. You’ll be responsible for understanding user needs, defining design strategies, creating wireframes and prototypes, and testing to ensure our solutions are user-centric and easy to use.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early to mid-career designer eager to grow, make a direct impact, and be part of a close-knit, high-impact team.

What You'll Do

  • User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, define personas, and map user journeys to inform design decisions that prioritize the user experience.
  • Collaborative Design: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to iterate on design concepts and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Prototyping & Wireframing: Create wireframes, prototypes, and UI design mockups using Figma to communicate design ideas clearly.
  • Visual Design: Develop polished, visually appealing designs that adhere to the company’s brand guidelines and ensure consistency across the product.
  • Usability Testing: Conduct user testing and leverage feedback to improve designs and solve real user problems effectively.
  • Iterative Design: Iterate on designs based on internal and user feedback, using an agile approach to refine solutions rapidly.
  • Design System Maintenance: Contribute to building and maintaining our design system to ensure a consistent, cohesive product experience across all touchpoints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between design, engineering, and product teams, ensuring smooth communication and an efficient design-to-development handoff.

Skillsets/ Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a product designer.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your work in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Proficiency in Figma for designing, prototyping, and collaborating.
  • A solid understanding of design systems, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design.
  • Ability to think strategically and balance user needs with business goals.
  • Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and user-centered design principles.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and receive constructive feedback.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with B2B web applications.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to communicate effectively with engineers.
  • Experience with user research techniques (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys).

USA Compensation:

  • The salary range for this position is  $80,000 - $100,000 and will be based on experience and skill set
