At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.
40% of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste.
We’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste, so alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions - such as our Retail Technologies offering, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.
We’re growing fast: Our community of 108 million registered users and 245,000 active partners across 19 countries, have together already prevented 395+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding over 1066.000 tonnes of CO2e!
Your Mission
As a Product Design Lead at Too Good To Go, you will guide and mentor a team of product designers focused on creating intuitive, impactful experiences for our partner-facing products. You will also work hands-on with designing user experience, features and products that help save food waste.
You’ll collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders, ensuring that design is represented at every stage of the product lifecycle. You will report directly to the VP of Product Management (Partner), working from our HQ in Copenhagen.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop Your Team: Manage a small group of product designers (across Product teams), providing clear direction, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth.
- Drive Design Projects: Oversee the end-to-end design process for your product area, from initial research and concepting to final implementation and ongoing iteration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, User Researchers, Product Analysts, and other teams to align on priorities, share insights, and deliver seamless user experiences.
- Maintain and Evolve Design Standards: Help refine and promote a consistent design system across TGTG, ensuring visual and interaction patterns scale across different platforms and markets.
- Facilitate User-Centric Thinking: Advocate for users’ needs by integrating research, data, and feedback into design decisions that delight and engage.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate design rationale effectively to senior leaders and peers, building alignment on priorities and ensuring that design goals are integrated into product roadmaps.
- Set and Track Goals: Create measurable objectives for the design team, monitor progress, and celebrate successes.
- Contribute to a Strong Culture: Model and reinforce our values, promoting inclusion, collaboration, and excellence within your team and across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven Product Design Experience: A strong track record in product design, with hands-on involvement in user research, UX/UI, and interaction design.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Some prior experience leading designers or design initiatives, including setting goals, providing feedback, and supporting career development.
- Collaboration Skills: Comfort working in cross-functional teams with Product, Engineering, Research, and other disciplines. Experience advocating for design in high-level discussions is a plus.
- User-Centric Mindset: Ability to translate user and business needs into clear, actionable design solutions.
- Design Systems Knowledge: Experience contributing to or managing component-based design systems.
- Strong Communication: Capable of articulating complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.

- Preferred: Background in B2B and/or consumer-facing digital products, with an understanding of how to scale globally.
