The Opportunity

Cochlear has an opportunity for a Product Data Analyst based in our Kuala Lumpur office. In this role, the successful Product Data Analyst will work closely with our product development team to harness the power of data analytics.

  • Building strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders across Cochlear to identify opportunities and challenges that can benefit from data analytics.

  • Developing best practices for data management, including collection, processing, and structuring, while enforcing data management policies and standards.

  • Use data analytics to help product teams evaluate and improve the performance of their products.

  • Showcasing advanced analytics to support medium-long term business outcomes and stakeholder needs.

  • Contributing to the translation of opportunities and problems into clear experimental designs and prototypes that can be addressed quantifiably with data.

  • Conducting technology and product research to enhance the capability and longevity of our technology stack.

  • In this role, you'll actively contribute to the implementation and enhancement of quality procedures.

About You:

To excel in this role, it is essential to possess:

  • Hands-on knowledge of data processing and preparation in Python

  • Hands-on knowledge of report and dashboard development using Tableau, Power BI or a similar data visualization tool.

  • Experience in building and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable data pipelines.

  • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional product teams and diverse groups of business and technical stakeholders.

  • A passion for leveraging data to drive continuous improvement and complex problem-solving.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science / Engineering or related filed

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar technical role

Additional desirable skills or qualities:

  • Hands-on knowledge of SQL/database preparation.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Sentry, or a similar Application Performance Monitoring/Error Tracking tool.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Mixpanel, or a similar Product Analytics tool.

  • Experience in Data Management, including Data Governance and Data Quality.
