We are looking for a Product Compliance Manager to join our HW team in Oulu, Finland. In this role, you are located at the crossroads of Oura R&D, Operations, Supply base, manufacturing operations and global sales. You navigate smoothly between several aspects of the compliance manager work - from design specifications, to supply chain compliance and to creating long term strategies to help continuously improve the Oura HW product compliance capabilities and compliance statuses throughout well planned and executed processes, metrics and ways of working.
You will participate in HW and Operations teams ongoing tasks in supply chain compliance assurance and issue management. You will also act as liaison between operational capabilities, process compliance and business requirements. You will be in a key role to define the needed processes and ways of working and their implementation in Oura HW creation and supply chain in order to fulfil the current and coming requirements. You will also be one of the key players in Oura internal and external compliance audits. You communicate the plans and results of your work effectively, clearly and promptly.
What You will do:
- Establish yourself throughout the multi-functional Oura teams as Product Compliance area specialist
- Team up with your key contacts in R&D, product, sourcing, International sales, logistics and operations teams to create and drive Oura product compliance engineering efforts
- Develop and implement sufficient processes and metrics throughout Oura supply base, HW operations, final assembly factories and logistics
- Run projects to define, plan, implement and document Oura internal and external processes to fulfil the required compliance
- Participate in company level efforts to streamline compliance work
- Function as a HW product compliance advisor through Oura product programs
- Follow the product compliance requirement landscape, on regulatory, commercial and voluntary requirements
We would love to have you on our team, if You have:
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Engineering, Materials Technology, Environmental Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HW product compliance management or related field.
- Experience in working with final assembly factories and mechanical enclosures and/or electronics supply base.
- Experience in product compliance management work in high volume hand held / wearable and/or consumer products.
- Experience of dealing with external parties to fulfil the compliance criteria
- Project management experience, preferably on related field
- World-class communication and team working skills
- Ability to present results orally and in writing, clearly and effectively
- Self-driven and forward-looking attitude
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel

- Material compliance
- International retail requirements for consumer products
- Trade compliance
- Extended Producer Requirements (EU)
- Sustainability enforcement in product level
- Commodity level requirements (battery etc.)
- Type Approvals/Certificates
- Voluntary/Compulsory market specific schemes (Environmental markings etc.)
- Product Compliance reporting
