Producer/Writer
KTLA is looking for an experienced producer/writer for its top rated KTLA Weekend Evening News.
Responsibilities:
· To produce newscasts, write and edit VO’s and VOSOT’s for broadcast
· Oversee and organize production elements of newscasts
· Order graphics
· Work closely with Executive Producers, Producers, Reporters and the Assignment Desk to generate content
· Desktop editing skills required
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Three years of TV producing and newswriting experience preferred
· Candidates must demonstrate a passion for news. This includes keeping up on current events; updating stories with new information; and following social media daily.
· Willingness to work weekends
· Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and ENPS a plus
· Strong organizational and communication skills needed
· Positive attitude; ability to work under pressure and creativity a must
Compensation - $32/hr+ commensurate with skills and experience
