Lift Mechanic
This role involves managing a route of elevators and escalators , the mehcanic will be given the oppurtunity to work independently but will also be supported by a team of colleagues.
On a typical day you will:
- Liaise with customers
- Maintaining units (elevators and escalators) as per planned maintenance schedule.
- Carrying out timeous repairs to prevent breakdowns
- Attending to call-backs, perform standby 24 hours and 7 days a week
- Actively promote “S” and “T” sales in the area, execute “T” service work
- Complete reports / timesheets as per requirements
- Ensure safe-keeping of company tools and equipment
- Train apprentice on site
What You Will Need to be Successful:
- Must be in possession of an N3 or equivalent qualification
- Electrical Diploma and SABS 1545 Accreditation would be an advantage
- Minimum of five years post apprenticeship experience
- Must have completed their trade test and be in possession of their trade test certificate.
