What you’ll do:
The Senior Technical Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process of technical products and services, ensuring that all materials and services required for the company's operations are acquired efficiently, economically, and within the required quality standards. Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Procurement of Materials and Services
- Supplier Management
- Technical Analysis
- Processes and Documentation
- Communicate With Impacts
- Negotiate to Maximise Value
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
- 5 years of experience in technical procurement (mechanical or electrical)
- Experienced in procurement of goods and services ideally gathered from a range of different buying categories. Understanding of supplier dynamics and market places. Good understanding of how to manipulate and analyse spend and compliance data, with an understanding of typical Procurement levers they can pull to drive greater value and cost out
- Familiarity with technical specifications of products and services. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Technical educational background desirable
- Live in Panama
- Speak Spanish and english fluently
