JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Procurement Marketing & Business Services Program Manager and Integrated in the Portfolio Strategy & Excellence Organization, the purpose of this role is:

To be a forward-looking challenger that will team up with the Portfolios S&I and Procurement Team to support the sourcing team, provoking and bringing new thinking. With the following key activities:

  • Delivers analytics that will enable the creation and update of portfolio strategies.

  • Leads the data mining process and has a great understanding of the data architecture to create Insights for the specific portfolios and cross-fertilizing ideas.

  • Derives value creation opportunities based on deep Value Chain expertise, Supplier, Competitor and Industry Insights, as well as benchmarking and cost modelling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivers analytics that will enable the development and update of procurement portfolio strategies and supports the negotiation and contracting process

  • Supports the Strategy & Excellence team on the collaboration with the sourcing team with the key strategic activities within the portfolio, acting as a challenger, analytical support and building case for change for new ideas.

  • Supports the adoption and roll out of the newly created frameworks and playbooks on key procurement skills (Strategy, Negotiation, Contracting), using the tools to upskill the sourcing team and as enablers for the execution.

  • Leads the data mining process and has a great understanding of the data architecture to create Insights for the specific portfolios and cross-fertilizing ideas. Guided by the Portfolio Procurement team as well as the MBS Program manager.

  • Coordinates and supports the rollout of strategic transformation programs.

  • Derives value creation opportunities based on deep Value Chain expertise, Supplier, Competitor and Industry Insights, as well as benchmarking and cost modelling.

  • Contributing on the creation of technology and innovation roadmaps, incorporating the relevant Intel from the Markets and Industry boards to identify opportunities.

  • Mastering benchmarking tools and through internal and external evaluation draws conclusions to guide the sourcing team to the optimum supply base as well as services.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • 5-7 years’ experience in a procurement or Supply Chain.

  • Experience in Global Indirect Procurement.

  • Cross-functional experiences.

  • Strong business and commercial acumen.

  • Ability and drive to work independently and cooperate with diverse teams, across different geographies.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and peers effectively.

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and story-telling skills to respond to multiple market/portfolio specific characteristics and influence change remotely.
