We are creating a new, dynamic Procurement team and are looking for a talented Procurement Specialist to assist in creating a strong vision for the division. 

CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is a rapidly growing digital freight forwarding start-up within Wayfair, moving containers across the globe to Wayfair’s shelves and elsewhere. We offer a full suite of shipping services (Asia consolidation, ocean freight, haulage, customs brokerage, cargo insurance, etc.) that aims to provide Wayfair suppliers with competitive and convenient logistics solutions. Our proprietary end-to-end logistics network enables us to drive speed, quality and lower costs.

Operating within a dynamic team, you will actively collaborate with cross functional partners, you will utilise a combination of your project management, persuasive communication, problem solving, and analytical skills

What you’ll do: 

Your role will be to coordinate the end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, negotiating and analysing tender submissions, as well as managing the relationship with  your selected vendor partners. 

You will collaborate with cross functional teams across the business to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and analyse market trends to identify opportunities for product improvement and cost savings. 

In addition you will have the opportunity to drive a diverse roadmap of technological initiatives that allows you to play a large part in shaping the foundation of this supply chain solutions at its inception, and develop it for the future. 

What you’ll have: 

  • Demonstrable experience successfully operating within a procurement or finance environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and identify the root cause of a problem and clearly translate to the relevant parties enabling a quick solution
  • Engaging communication skills, with the ability to effectively connect, influence and negotiate with vendors. 
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
  • Strong IT system and application knowledge (Microsoft Office, Google Suite- especially Excel). 
  • Experience of working within Logistics or Supply Chain is beneficial but not essential
