Procurement specialist with French

We are looking for an exceptional Procurement Buyer based in Romania who will:

• Communicate regularly with and manage the supply base to avoid and resolve any delivery, quality, or pricing issues
• Proactively drive the supply chain to supply and exceed our production floor’s needs and eliminate any interruptions
• Capable to manage multiple projects and complete daily/weekly/monthly purchasing goals and metrics
• Serve as the focal point for escalation of all supplier relationship issues for the suppliers under your responsibility
• Maintain supplier status relating to scorecards, business drivers and developmental needs (where applicable)
• Maintain price tables and/or manage requisitions for pricing related to category contracts/negotiations
• Propose and drive cost saving actions and projects aligned with company targets
• Travel to suppliers and other MKS facilities 10%-20% of the time or as required for this position

What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity is:

• A Bachelor’s degree in business/economics or engineering with knowledge of material management or logistics
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/Planning
• A demonstrated background and proven experience with purchasing and supply chain tools
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in the use of ERP/MRP Systems, SAP and Microsoft Office
• Advanced level ability in the use of Excel & Power Point
• A willingness and ability to influence and change the status quo
• Fluency in both English and French languages
