Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

Procurement and Commercial Negotiation

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of procurement processes and strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with vendors and suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and contracts.
  • Develop negotiation plans, conduct supplier assessments, and evaluate proposals to drive cost reductions while maintaining quality standards.
  • Implement initiatives to optimize spend, streamline processes, and enhance supplier relationships.
  • Manage and prioritise multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of insights and recommendations.

Data Analysis

  • Analyse data comprehensively using Excel and Power BI, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualisation tools, and dashboard creation to interpret complex datasets.
  • Evaluate business opportunities, market trends, and operational efficiencies through commercial analysis, translating data into strategic insights and supporting the IAG Airports transformation initiatives and relevant associated tender processes.
  • Develop and present reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, making data accessible and understandable to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business processes, and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements and strategic planning.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and negotiate contracts that support the company's interests.

  • Presentation Excellence: Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data into engaging, understandable presentations for a broad audience.
  • Excel and Power BI mastery: Proficiency in using Excel and Power BI to create advanced data models, compelling visualizations, and interactive dashboards.
  • Inherent Commercial Insight: Solid understanding of business operations, with the ability to conduct nuanced commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Superior Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating intricate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Innovative and logical approach to identifying and implementing effective solutions.
  • Organisational Prowess: Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to navigate through extensive datasets and timelines to extract critical business insights.
  • Strong people skills, with an ability to coach and develop others
  • Excellent written and spoken English and/or Spanish is a plus

Experience

  • Change management experience supporting and implementing multiple solutions involving people, process, policy and technology
  • Good understanding of corporate compliance & controls standards and practical experience in applying them in the own area of responsibility
  • Working proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint
  • Working experience in Ground Handling and/ or at an airport highly desirable.
