Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and eager Intern to work with the Procurement Team as a Structural Procurement Intern As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work with a dynamic team within SOLV Energy.
Summer 2025 Internship. This position will be in office full time in San Diego, CA.

The Structural Procurement Intern will support the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services for structural engineering projects. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in procurement processes, supplier management, and project coordination.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers for structural materials and services.

• Support the preparation and issuance of purchase orders.

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project needs and specifications.

• Help maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts and purchase orders.

• Participate in supplier negotiations and contract discussions under supervision.

• Analyze supplier performance and assist in developing relationships with key vendors.

• Support inventory management and tracking of materials.

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and industry trends.

• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to procurement activities.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
