About the Role
Uber Freight its looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Analyst to support our Intra-Mexico carrier sourcing strategies and carrier development initiatives. This role will optimize carrier partnerships, analyze procurement data, and enhance sourcing efficiencies within the Mexican transportation network. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in logistics procurement, and a deep understanding of the Mexican supply chain landscape.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Develop and execute Intra-Mexico procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation solutions.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard carriers that align with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to optimize procurement processes and sourcing strategies.
- Negotiate competitive rates and contracts with carriers to drive cost savings and service improvements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Mexican carriers, fostering long-term strategic partnerships.
- Work closely with carriers to enhance performance, capacity, and service levels.
- Implement carrier development programs to improve compliance, reliability, and overall service quality.
- Analyze transportation and procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements.
- Utilize data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and optimize Intra-Mexico operations.
- Collaborate with the operations team to align procurement activities with overall budgetary goals.
- Develop reports and dashboards to track procurement KPIs and supplier performance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or logistics, preferably within the intra-Mexico market.
- Strong understanding of Mexican transportation regulations and carrier networks.
- Experience with carrier development, performance tracking, and relationship management.
- Intermediate English proficiency required (ability to communicate in a professional setting, both written and verbal).
- Skills in Excel, data visualization tools, and TMS systems.
