Join our Program Management department as a Process/Project Engineer at our Havant site.
We are looking for a Process/Project Engineer for the Program Management department at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for long term projects from conception through to completion related to engineering equipment (tangential flow filtration, chromatography etc.) used in the biopharmaceutical industry. You will discuss, propose and define technical solutions with customer using your process engineering background.

Our site in Havant undertakes full project lifecycle activities from quotation, through project management, product design, procurement, assembly, and testing of leading chromatography equipment (process skids and columns) for the biotech and biopharmaceutical industry.
This position is available for full-time and based at our Havant site with hybrid working available.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

You will manage pre order activities, such as analysing customer requirements, define technical solutions including analysis of process mass balance, equipment selection and sizing, drafting process and instrumentation diagrams

Write technical proposals, create project costing sheets, request, analyse and implement quotations for suppliers and include in technical proposals

Present and discuss technical solutions with customers

Work closely with Sales Development Specialist to present technical solution to potential customers

Producing technical proposals and quotations

Executing projects efficiently by defining scope, budget, resources and schedule
-
Identifying project risks and recommend appropriate resolutions
-
Managing project budget in consideration with cost variations and clients’ specifications
-
Managing resource assignment, work allocation and software and hardware requirements
-
Providing project progress status to the management
-
Ensuring that project deliverables meet customer expectations

Working with customers on equipment testing
-
Work closely with other departments such as Process Technology and Integration Engineering
What will convince us
-
Bachelor degree in biochemical engineering, process engineering or life science equivalent and experience or Master’s degree
-
Process Engineering experience within biotechnology industry with process equipment
-
Understanding of downstream and upstream processes would be helpful
-
Experience working with customers and sales team would be helpful
-
Ability to anticipate challenges, adapt to changing project requirements and timelines, solve problems and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
-
High attention to detail and accuracy in project documentation and reporting
-
Strong organisation and communication skills to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
