The Process Quality Engineer is responsible for the continual improvement of all areas within quality for current and future product assigned to the welding value stream.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for evaluating processes and procedures across all KNA manufacturing functions to improve sustainability, reduce cost, and develop best practices.
- Apply problem solving tools and lead cross functional teams to identify and eliminate non-value added tasks and/or activities in the various areas of responsibility down to the root cause.
- Actively involved in creating documents related to quality function. Documentation includes, but not limited to, quality procedures, quality processes, quality alerts, quality gates, forms, checklists etc.
- Assists with the ISO 9001 program.
- Prepares reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data; making recommendations.
- Ensure products meet quality requirements according to internal testing methods and standards
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Lead the efforts in advanced quality planning for new products.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Proven ability in a quality engineering role - 3+ years.
- Experience in a Robotic and Manual Welding environment preferred.
- In depth knowledge of quality standards and quality techniques.
- Ability to drive and conduct problem solving processes using structured problem solving methods.
- Knowledge of PDCA, Lean and 6S.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001. ISO 3834 or equivalent Welding Management systems preferred. (AWS, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced with MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Familiarization with APQP methodologies
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in industrial or mechanical engineering is helpful. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities vital to perform the duties of this position will be considered.
