Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the team responsible for material procurement, for MRO related activities.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for material procurement and purchasing, focusing on cost optimization, timely delivery, and efficient inventory management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective material delivery.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction strategies in procurement processes to improve the company's bottom line.
  • Collaborate with NPD and Sourcing teams to source and cost new materials required for product development.
  • Assist in the development of supplier quotations, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Ensure that administrative responsibilities related to procurement and inventory management are executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Oversee the accuracy of data entry into the inventory system and ensure that raw material procurement and indirect material issues are well-documented.
  • Monitor and lead efforts to implement effective stock rotation strategies, such as First In First Out (FIFO+FEFO), to minimize waste and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate and lead stock-taking activities in collaboration with the factory accountant to ensure system accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement standard housekeeping and stacking procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Address and escalate issues beyond the team's capabilities and collaborate with senior management to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Work with LA planners to correctly reflect plan on raw materials planning file and place orders for raw materials.
  • Implement material management strategies based on LEAN manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or previous experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Finance.

• Minimum of 3 plus years of work experience.

• Proficiency in order management systems, with a preference for expertise in Oracle and Oracle Transportation Management.

• Exceptional communication, writing, and proofreading skills.

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred

• Proficient with MS office application

• Competency in using lean problem-solving tool.

• Demonstrated strength in leadership, relationship building, and communication abilities.
