Pay Range

$90,200.00-$124,000.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. 

The purpose of the Process Engineer's role will be to provide technical leadership to operate a major asset (typical annual revenue of $50MM to $200MM) at target regarding output, usage of material and energy by meeting the product specifications. To achieve that goal, the Process Engineer II needs to establish a process of data collection, auditing and preventive maintenance which allows the identification of deviations quickly and suggests the implementation of corrective measures. RCCA analysis, 5 time Why and the JM Solve-It method or Keppner / Tregoe, a 6 Sigma approach should be applied where needed. Furthermore, the Process Engineer II will be responsible for addressing improvements in process efficiency, product quality, and the cost of poor quality for the process, leading process optimization. Together with the electrical engineers, process control architecture will be developed and tuned. In collaboration with the specialists at JMTC, process modeling systems get developed and implemented to further optimize the efficiency of the operations. Based on performance analysis, raw material specifications will be reviewed on a regular frequency and potentially adjusted to drive the expected performance improvement.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Work with the manufacturing/engineering team to transfer new technology, develop and commercialize new products, and initiate best practices
  • Evaluate processes and programs to improve product quality, process capability, reduce cost, and ensure employee safety
  • Process optimization and troubleshooting the manufacturing process
  • Conduct formal root cause and corrective actions on quality complaints and process issues
  • Developing projects and project justifications
  • Interact with customers as required for product complaints and fitness for use issues
  • Evaluate new technology to improve process capability and to develop new products
  • Work with raw material suppliers on quality issues and new raw material developments and conduct in plant trials
  • Interact with customers as required for new product development and product improvements
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the site's monthly quality training program
  • Lead site product stewardship initiatives and work with corporate product stewardship team
  • Develop training for new and existing technologies

What You Bring to the Team:

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Ceramic, Electrical or relevant field)
  • Minimum of 1+ years of engineering experience in related technical or manufacturing process
  • Experience in data analysis and computer applications systems
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience in manufacturing facility safety and quality programs
  • Strong technical and administrative skills
  • Experience with lean manufacturing
  • Ability to travel 20%, domestically and internationally on Company business
  • Ability to work with extended hours as necessary to complete work assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to find technical solutions
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • Experience in data analysis and computer applications systems
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience in manufacturing facility safety and quality programs
  • Strong technical and administrative skills.
