Job Role: Live Data Production, Process Coordinator
Work location: Utrecht (Netherlands) & Remote work
Have you always wanted to work with (live) sports every day? In this job, you will contribute to the smooth organization and execution of our daily operations to deliver live scores from approximately 900 competitions in football and other team sports to media clients. Together with your other full-time Live Data Production colleagues, you are responsible for a team of about 80 part-timers, mainly students who work as live scorers during weekends and evenings. Moreover, you will closely work with teams in India, North America, and South Korea.
What can you expect?
- During the week you will on average have about 2 or 3 shifts working as shift leader. In this role you are overseeing or making preparations for our live scoring operation during a certain part of the day (daytime or evening)
- You will assist in short- and long-term planning of our live scorers.
- You will be involved in coaching and training live scorers. Based on quality reports and evaluations, you will act to improve our live scoring and the people who do it.
- You will engage in what we call "League Management." A collective term for keeping track of match schedules, player information, and club selections. You will do this in collaboration with the Live Data Production team in India.
- Additionally, you will work on projects. An example of this can be zooming in on a specific part of the process to see how it can be improved. This may involve better use of technological tools or organizing "new" live scoring.
- It is a highly versatile role in which you will work extensively with sports (data) and collaborate with colleagues, including our group of part-time live scorers.
- You will be able to do your services from home or the office, depending on the day's program.
What do we expect from you?
- You enjoy following sports. You will mostly deal with football, but you will also encounter other sports.
- You can communicate quickly and clearly in Dutch and English.
- Excellent handling speed when working on computers. You will become an expert in working with our applications, but it is nice if you have the necessary knowledge, especially of Excel/Google Sheets.Working with live sports can be hectic, but you always keep your cool.
- You love puzzling and organizing, and you can quickly switch gears when there is a last-minute change in the plan.
- You work with live sports and must be willing to work evening and weekend shifts. Except for special events such as the Olympics, our evening shifts usually last until midnight.
- You have at least obtained your bachelors degree or acquired comparable work experience.
- You live near Utrecht so that you can come home with your own transport or public transport after an evening shift.
