Position Summary:
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an Associate in the Private Wealth Services Group in our Fort Lauderdale office. The Private Wealth Services Group focuses on complex estate planning, wealth preservation, and tax matters for high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and closely-held businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or a junior attorney with up to two years of experience to join a dynamic, collaborative practice group. The Fort Lauderdale PWS group is dedicated to training associates and advancing their professional development. This is a full-time onsite position in the Fort Lauderdale Office.
What your day may look like

Assist with the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills and trusts for domestic and international clients.

Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda on tax, probate, trust administration, and other private wealth issues.

Support the team with the administration of estates and trusts, including probate filings and asset transfers.

Participate in client meetings and assist with the development of tailored wealth preservation strategies.

Assist in the preparation of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax returns.

Stay updated on relevant tax laws, estate planning strategies, and industry developments.

Collaborate with the broader Private Wealth Services team to deliver high-quality legal services to clients.
Qualifications

JD or JD/LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school.

0-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in estate planning, tax, or related areas.

Florida Bar admission (or willingness to become licensed in Florida promptly).

Strong academic credentials and excellent legal research and writing skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with colleagues and clients.
Preferred Qualifications

LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus but not required.

Demonstrated interest in private wealth services, estate planning, or tax law through internships, externships, coursework, or post-graduation work.
