We are seeking a Privacy Incident Reviewer to support our Asia Privacy Office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and reviewing privacy incidents reported through our authorized systems. With minimal supervision, the specialist will exercise sound independent judgment, ensuring that all incident escalation management processes are tracked accurately within the application. The role also involves handling other delegated responsibilities related to the business, while ensuring that privacy incident management aligns with global standards and established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and review the response and handling of privacy incidents reported via the authorized system.
- Identify and rectify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information based on established global guidelines and procedures.
- Coordinate with incident reporters to ensure remediation, containment, and proper documentation of missing information.
- Collaborate with the Privacy team to ensure appropriate escalation of privacy incidents rated as moderate or higher, as needed.
- Share insights, trends, and metrics with stakeholders to support quarterly reporting and help mitigate and monitor privacy risks.
- Conduct periodic reviews of privacy incidents to ensure reporting is timely, accurate, and complete, adhering to global guidelines and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvement by enhancing or developing tools, templates, and guides to support the privacy risk management program.
- Work with the Privacy team to incorporate insights, challenges, and enhancements from incident reviews into communications and updated procedures, such as reporting.
- Provide general support to the overall privacy risk management program as necessary.
- Assist the Global Compliance Training and Privacy team with additional support tasks, if required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Privacy, Information Security, Law, or a related field. Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent are advantageous. Demonstrated experience in privacy incident management, data protection, or a closely related field.
- Proven ability to exercise sound independent judgment in managing and escalating privacy incidents.
- Familiarity with privacy management systems and applications for tracking incidents.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of incident escalation processes.
- Solid understanding of global privacy standards and best practices, with the ability to align incident management processes accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and handle delegated responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to handle other delegated business responsibilities as required.
