About this Position
The Privacy Analyst will identify evolving privacy and information security requirements and assist in implementing compliant privacy and cybersecurity processes and procedures.
This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in the Duluth, Georgia office and remotely multiple days each week.
The estimated salary range for this position is: 70K - 75K
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Privacy Analyst will investigate field information security incidents and coordinate the Legal department's review of technology releases. The Privacy Analyst will also review and analyze proposed privacy and cybersecurity legislation, help maintain accurate privacy notices, and manage data subject privacy requests.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and investigate information security incidents reported by our field agents, including logging details in Archer SIRT system
- Interview business and IT stakeholders regularly to ensure up-to-date privacy notices and disclosures and to understand and document where personal information resides and how it is processed. Help maintain and update consumer-facing Privacy Notices and Policies.
- Coordinate AdMaster procedure that oversees Legal’s review of Primerica’s technology applications and projects, including MyPrimerica, POL, and all TurboApps. Assign releases to Legal Technology Counsel, review status and progress of pending releases, and follow up with SMEs and business owners as needed to ensure deadlines are met.
- Review, track, and analyze proposed legislation, regulatory and policy developments on data collection and use, online privacy, tracking and analytics, cybersecurity, and related issues.
- Monitor team mailboxes and intake forms for privacy queries and data subject access requests. Manage the processing of privacy requests with the appropriate business and IT teams.
- Occasional travel
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years experience in privacy or cybersecurity
- CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) US certification required (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to concisely and effectively communicate complex matters oral and written form is required
- Strong work ethic
- Strong project management skills
- Prior financial services or highly regulated industry experience preferred
- Compliance or legal-related experience preferred
- Experience using and configuring OneTrust, or similar enterprise privacy management systems, preferred
