Job Purpose
The Principal Solution Architect role combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision to design solutions that align business priorities with enterprise architecture principles. The position requires a seasoned architect skilled in integrating diverse technologies and delivering transformative solutions while reducing technical debt.

Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery
- Partner with business and technology leaders to define and deliver solutions that align with strategic goals and business needs.
- Develop scalable, secure, and reusable solutions using reference architectures.
- Evaluate performance, security, reliability, and interoperability requirements to produce high-level design deliverables for development teams.
Enterprise Technology Alignment
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and quality of solution delivery across platforms and business units.
- Guide the integration of applications and systems, leveraging APIs, microservices, and cloud-native technologies.
- Champion architectural governance to align solutions with enterprise roadmaps and reduce technical debt.
Technical Leadership & Innovation
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, fostering a culture of innovation.
- Mentor and collaborate with solution architects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Provide expertise in modern architectural practices, including multi-cloud strategies, DevSecOps, and data-driven decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable technology strategies.
- Facilitate technical design reviews to ensure alignment with cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for IT and business leaders, bridging gaps between technical and business perspectives.
Continuous Improvement
- Develop and enforce best practices in architecture processes, ensuring the delivery of secure, efficient, and effective solutions.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and innovation.
- Contribute to the Architecture Community of Practice, promoting knowledge sharing and thought leadership.
Qualifications - Required
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as master's degree and 8 years' experience; a Ph.D and 5 years' experience in a related field; or 22 years' experience in a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in solution architecture with significant experience in delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
- Proficiency in business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, and security disciplines.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud strategies.
- Extensive experience integrating SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and on-premises applications.
- Advanced understanding of APIs, microservices, and modern integration platforms.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications - Preferred
- Experience in corporate technology domains such as legal, marketing, or sustainability platforms.
- Certifications in TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across all levels.
- Knowledge of enterprise governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
USD 159,400.00 - 265,600.00
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $159,400.00 - $265,600.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
