SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
This position is responsible for enhancing and maintaining existing software products as well as developing new products. The ideal candidate has a strong desire for excellence, with confidence in their expertise, and is a creative problem solver.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using C#/.NET, ASP.NET Web APIs, WPF, and WinForms.
- Develop cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Work with Product Managers and stakeholders to define and implement product roadmaps and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to gather requirements, architect scalable solutions, and ensure smooth integrations.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Analyze existing codebases, propose improvements, and implement optimizations for performance and efficiency.
- Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best coding practices and standards.
- Develop unit tests and ensure proper testing methodologies are followed.
- Work with cloud-based services (AWS or other providers) to build and maintain scalable applications.
- Mentor and support junior developers, helping them grow and follow best practices.
- Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within R&D to enhance productivity and development quality.
- Ensure adherence to security standards, best practices, and compliance policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
*Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# /.NET, ASP.NET Web APIs)
* Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Windows Forms (WinForms) development.
* Knowledge of design patterns such as MVVM or MVP to ensure clean, maintainable code.
* Experience with design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI
* Familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
* Experience with third-party UI controls such as DevExpress is a plus.
*Experience working with AWS offerings such as EC2, CloudFront, IAM, Beanstalk or with a different cloud provider and similar services is a plus.
*Analyze existing code to understand performance impact and propose solutions
*Lead code reviews to drive code implementations towards the best results
*Develop applications according to the technical documentation
*Mentor and support junior developers throughout the project lifecycle.
*Aise on software development best practices
